You may want to merge in some of the cygwin setup changes at some point.
(For the UI tweaks and improvements, if not the backend stuff).
Also, you may find it interesting to consider that MS for a number of
products:
The windows SDK
Internet explorer
Resource kits
is using a very similar concept: a driver + a number of packages that
are installed by the driver.
So, I don't see multiple packages as being 'unwindows' AT ALL.
