I'm not familiar enough with Ubuntu so I don't know what package it's in, but I think the program you are looking for is 'bluetooth-applet'.

You run this during the pairing process and it will pop up a window for you to enter the pin on the ubuntu machine.

Hope this helps

Hey guys!

Please excuse some maybe bad English, but I'm no native.
First of all, we are running at an Ubuntu Server 10.04 x32.

We have problems with the Bluetooth connection with a Nokia 6230.
We read a lot about an hcid.conf file at /etc/bluetooth, but we only have the following in there:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1142 2010-04-09 12:34 audio.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 262 2010-04-09 12:34 input.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1917 2010-06-16 13:44 main.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 751 2010-06-15 21:15 network.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 297 2010-06-15 21:16 rfcomm.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 248 2010-04-09 12:34 serial.conf

Every time we try to pair our Ubuntu Server with the cell phone, the phone
expected a pin. But we can't find any config file where this pin is defined or
where we can edit/set it.

sudo gnokii –identify posts the following contend after entering a pin:
GNOKII Version 0.6.28

I hope you can help us!

Thanks in advice, kritl
