Gnokii has stopped being able to contact phone

I have used Gnokii successfully in the past via the MySQL version of
smsd.  I have been using the standard version in Debian Squeeze with a
Nokia 6230 and DKU2 cable.  I hadn't used it for a month or so and when
I tried again today it failed.  The only thing I am aware has changed is
doing apt-get upgrades.  Current version is 0.6.28.  Not sure what
version I was using when it was successful - possibly 0.6.27 or 0.6.28.

Here is the output from gnokii --identify
