IS it possible with Gnokii

Is it possible to do an action according to a caller's number?
For example  I want to check a server status.So I need to send a SMS and 
according to the 
text  of this SMS , an action is done and the result is sent to me by SMS.
But I do not like  sending paid SMS , I would like to write a script where SMS 
gateway server , 
according to my calling number , will know that it is me and that it should do 
the same as if I 
sent the SMS .
