I have tried it out and it works.

On the other hand SCARD_SHARE_SHARED esp. in the combination with
SCARD_LEAVE_CARD makes me somewhat nervous because it makes the unlocked
SIM accessible by any user. Phones might (or might not, it depends, but it
is at least possible) be protected by device permissions but pcscd is
unable to discriminate among users accessing the card (I admit it might 
be interpreted as a defect of pcscd).
