Subject: gnokii 0.6.22
Hi,

Work on gnokii goes surprisingly fast and it is focused mainly on
bugfixing and supporting surrounding applications (like gnome phone
manager) right now. So here is gnokii 0.6.22 with significant amount
of bugfixes. Changes since previous release contain:
 - fixes in the installation procedure
 - ability to build with MS Visual Studio 2008 (see
http://wiki.gnokii.org/index.php/Windows for the details)
 - better support for Motorolas: SMS notifications working and better
model parsing
 - xgnokii can now correctly delete phonebook entries
 - xgnokii can now correctly move contacts from SIM to phone and vice versa
 - improved DKU-5 initialization again
 - fix frames resending (it didn't work under some circumstancies)
 - fix SMS reading (and possibly some other) on DKU2 connection using libusb
 - debug output now gives a config file compatible output so it could
be easily used to verify
 - gnapplet now registers bluetooth service so you can detect if it's running
Thanks to all that helped preparing this release.

Hi,

There's one thing I forgot. Apparently Nokia in some of the new phones
introduced a new protocol as a replacement of FBUS. It is called LCIF.
There are two phones I am aware of that support it. It is Nokia 6110
Navigator (which may explain recent problems reported with it) and
Nokia N95. So I'd like to ask for two things. Please report lsusb -vvv
if you have your phone connected by USB -- it will help us to find out
which phones are "affected". If you happen to have such phone (you can
recognize them by having bInterfaceSubClass 253 in the lsusb output)
it would be great if you could sniff and post the log from Nokia PC
Suite comunication.

take care,
pkot
