It was sent by my friend via a Nokia phone. -- I'm sorry but, what are you
intending to know?

Whether it wasn't sent by some software that could do something wrong
with SMS. But is seems not to be the case.

block[3] is exactly the number of characters.

But it seems be exactly what I wrote: 0x0c -- number of bytes, 0x06 --
number of characters. It that correct?

I wonder if there're any official document which could help me understand
all the details in the dump? Or what doc did you refer to when you developed
gnokii?

FBUS protocol is Nokia proprietary protocol and has no official documentation.
