"Message type 12" error on --getsms with Wavecom modem

About a month ago a guy mentioned this problem, but I didn't see any
posted solution.

I have a Wavecom WMO2B modem. Sending SMS through Gnokii works fine.
However, when I try to read SMS, Gnokii fails after checking the
preferred message store:

Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I don't see why Gnokii doesn't
like the response it's getting to AT+CPMS?
