I would not go near a cable for connecting a phone to a PC, they tend to be 
expensive and will be obsolete when you replace the phone.

Gnokii works well with Bluetooth, a USB dongle is cheap and will work with your 
next phone.

It will also allow you to transfer photos and music between the phone and PC.
