problem in reading sms

Dear Friends,

I am using gnokii-0.6.0-1 with fedora4 (2.6.11-1.1369_FC4).
My mobile is Nokia 6670. I am able to send the SMS through command line
but when i tried to run the getsms command it is giving the command
timed out error.
