To be a little more helpful...

pl2303 is the Linux kernel module to run hardware that uses a Prolific PL-2303. USB to Serial Bridge Controller. Most modern Nokia (and other) phone cables use one of these chips within the cable to allow the cable connection to be USB but to act as a serial device.

The kernel module is available to be built into the more modern linux kernels out of the box so as long as you are using a relatively new Linux distro. you don't need to manually build the module and patch it in

   what is pl2303? tha's a Hardware or a Software? If hardware is this
on Mother board or on mobile or DKU-5 Cable?
