Thank you very much for your answer, i've seen play sms and i've just 
subscribed to their mailing list in order to ask them a few questions.

But my goal is to write a plugin who could accomplish such a task (sms 
interaction with the cms) for an LCMS.

Thank you for your help, i'm gonna have a look at gnokii-smsd.
