Unfortunately our code is not open (as I said it's not part of gnokii nor
based on gnokii or other open-source product). Therefore I cannot post or
e-mail it.
It's been running in "production" for at least 4 years now (probably more),
but some of the devices occasionally lose the connection with the phone. I
was not bothered by this until now because there were always other possible
reasons. Now it begins to bother me and I thought that the gnokii user-pool
might have some true hands-on experience in this matter (and is willing to
share it, too).

As I said, in my case, about 2-3 % of the devices are losing connection
after one day up to one week (controlling system is 386SX @ ~16MHz).
In another case, I get a much higher rate of failure with basically the same
code (running on x51 @ ~11 MHz).
In both cases the controlling code _does_not_crash_. Moreover, the code is
written to proactively restore the communication with the phone. As soon as
the phone is restarted, the controlling device "catches up" and
reestablishes the connection, so I do not think it's a code issue.
I suspect it's a hardware problem or some software glitch in the phones we
use, but I wanted a confirmation from someone on gnokii list with extensive
experience on 5110/6110 .
