problems compiling cvs

Hello,

as I'm planning to exchange my Nokia 6110 for a newer phone and wanted
the most update support available by Gnokii I today downloaded cvs and
tried to compile it. As I had problems with earlier attemps to compile
which could be avoided by compiling without nls support (something seems
to be missing or outdated on my Linux box, but as I don't need native
language support anyway the easiest way around was to compile without
it) I now also did: ./configure --disable-nls

When I then do > make (or gmake) the compiling stops with the following
errors:

gnvcal.lo: in function `yylex':
gnvcal.c:693: multiple definition of `yyin'
vcal.lo: vcal.c:693: first defined here

this is repeated with a number of different linenumbers and different
variables. (yyout, veventcounter, vtodocounter, yy_load_buffer_state
etc.)

Is there a way I can get around this problem?

(This Linux box was originally installed with SuSE 8.0, but many
programs, libraries etc. have been upgraded since. gcc -v -> 3.2)

Aart
