In my nokia 6210 i can send/receive contact information from the phone book through something called "Send card". I assume the my 3310 that i use with gnokii also have this functionality. I have smsd running on a machine with the 3310 connected. "Normal" sms works nice and is stored into the database, but nothing happens when i send such a card to the 3310.

Im not sure what you mean. Could you be more specific?
Hmm...it might be easiest if you take a nokia phone, and then open a entry in the adress book, and then options->send card(send bus. card in newer models), this can be sent to another nokia phone and directly saved to the adress book with name and number. Very handy. What i really would like to do is sync my phone book with my crmsystem online, but to do that, I need gnokii to understand when I send a card from my phone to the gnokii-connected-phone.
You see the point? //Eric
