so GSM charset needs to be set explicitly on C35? strange... could you try this patch? and could you compile gnokii with debug enabled and send output here (without and with this patch)?
In the moment I havn't a C35 laying around. As far as I get one I will test it. But I can acknowledge the C35 dosn't support HEXGSM and _SOMETIMES_ the GSM-Charset must be explicit set.
