I tested the 3110 with rc1. The following commands work for command-line
gnokii:

--identify
--monitor
--getsms (*)
--deletesms
--savesms (*)
--sendsms (*)
--getsmsc

(*) works correctly only for text messages in default alphabet,
i.e. not Unicode or 8bit data like logos or ringtones

sendsms works only partially i.e. it fails quite often for no apparent
reason. deletesms always returns success regardless of whether a message
existed in the slot or not - the phone doesn't report it. getsmsc works,
but if called without arguments it reports the same info five times.
This is a (mis)feature of command line gnokii.

Other command-line gnokii commands may work, but they are untested.
Phonebook handling definitely doesn't work because it's unimplemented.
Data calls may or may not work, probably not.

xgnokii shows RF and battery correctly, but SMS operations don't seem to
work at all i.e. no messages are shown and sending and saving fails.

You may want to include this information in 0.5.0 release notes or
somewhere.

I'll continue 3110 development after 0.5.0. It would be nice if someone
tested the 3110 driver with other models of the same series like 3810,
8110 or 8110i. I'll try to get my hands on a 8110 some day.
