0.4.0-pre17 fails to build in RedHat 7.1?

Hi,

i did ./configure; make and got:

gcc -O2 -Wall  -I../../include -I/usr/X11R6/include  -c -o generic.o generic.c

The whole is on a RedHat 7.1 with current patches

Anybody has a comment on that?
