If you find it neither fast nor convinient, then instead of complaining, write a
patch for it. It shouldn't be too hart. gsm-bitmaps.c and probably 
gsm-filetypes.c
are your friends.

And again. gnokii can't set the logo. This file:
1065_.bmp: PC bitmap data, Windows 3.x format, 78 x 21 x 1
Gnokii says:

And nothing changes. Mygnokii has no problems with that BMP. But (again)

Well, I haven't checked it with a bmp file, but with a NOL file and it did work.
Could you please send me any logo file that does not work for you?

That is the thing I wrote I fixed. But tested only with NOL.
