This is a different problem from the previous.
Just as a test, try:

cd plugin; grep ^top_srcdir Makefile

I guess you'd get:

top_srcdir = ..

If this is the case try re-running ./configure as $PWD/configure
and run the command above again. When you get an absolute path
in top_srcdir try building again and see if it passes that step.
