Follow-up Comment #1:

So using current master, and configuring without docbook, tyoping "make" in
doc/C produces a gtk-gnash.1 file, even after a "make clean". gtk-gnash.1 is
just an alias for the default gnash.1 manpage anyway. doc/C/gtk-gnash.1 should
exist in your source tree already, the error message looks like it doesn't
exist.
