On the M1 front, I am able to build the gcc-12 version at 
https://github.com/iains/gcc-darwin-arm64.  (Ians and others have done a 
fantastic job there.)  Once I figure out how to merge the gm2 work with 
ians' work, I will have gm2 on M1.

On the Sparc front, some personal issues have delayed setting up a 
Solaris 11 box (as gcc-11+ have abandoned Solaris 10).  But I hope to 
work those out within a few weeks.
