That is weird, I can understand a static vs non-static declaration creeping in,
but wrong no of parameters?
I should get a clean gcc 8.2.0 and see if that compiles.
Rather than rebuilding all the support libraries with gcc, I decided to
build them first, and then gcc. This is more work but it worked for
me. (I build on Solaris 10/Sparc, which is closer to FreeBSD than to
Linux.)
