[Gm2] Problems handling constants in GM2

Hallo Gaius,

attached a short sample program that does not compile with gm2 while it 
is compiling well with
other IS0 M2 compilers. I am not sure about the "1.E-n" notation but I 
don't see why I should not be able access the components of a string 
constant for reading.

Both not a big deal but wanted to have mentioned it.
