Thank you for looking, Gaius.  The link refers to building for iOS, 
which runs on ARM processors. (ARM has embedded versions with whimsical 
names such as Thumb, hence the no-thumb option.)  I am trying to build 
on PPC, a very different beast based on the Power architecture.
