[Gm2] Mac OS X Intel Update

Hi Gaius,

Things are not at all encouraging on Mac OS X (Intel):

Most of the failures are 'collect2: ld terminated with signal 11  
[Segmentation fault]'.  If it's an ld issue it could really be  
problematic because Mac OS X doesn't use stock binutils.

gm2.log is being sent to Gaius.
