Hello

I'm too willing to test Infiniband with glusterfs. I was very happy with IPoIB performance, but did RDMA did not work in my setup last month. I have a few nodes ready, and in a few days we are setting up a new test system (3-4 servers with IB)

Best Regards

Hi,

I have a 4 node IB cluster and could easily do some RDMA testing.

Please could I have an idea of the things that would need to be tested?

Testplan?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the offer. Will soon send a tarball with some test plan/cases we have. It would be great if you try running it in a pilot run of your usecase, so we can enhance our test cases, because anyways, we do our share of testing on the code before release.

We want to hear more on different use cases, which we would not cover in our test cases, and thats more valuable to us.

Regards,
Amar

Greetings, Devs - is it worth it to call out IB/RDMA as something we want more testing of for 3.4?

Or are we not yet ready to really push that as "production-ready"?

Lets not call RDMA/IB 'production-ready' by 3.4.0 for sure. But by 3.4.1 or 3.4.2 when we get some feedback after testing, we can say its ready.

Amar
