Okay, right now we have small files ranging from 7 Kb to 20Kb, should we use
booster in our scenario?
And one more thing, can I loaded booster on client side?

Hi Rohan,
I am aware of the issue, I could reproduce the same locally. Currently the
idea of booster was to eliminate whole layered stack including fuse, and
talk to server volume directly from client application. With the booster in
1.3.x releases, there are some limitations like its not so well performing
for small files, and the LD_PRELOAD is supposed to be used with processes,
which does mostly largefile operations.
We came up with a better design for booster, which doesn't need any
translator, but will just have a LD_PRELOAD'able shared object. And it
should work fine with stripe/afr too.

Amar

Hi,
I'm trying to implement booster.
When I start gluster on server I get following error. But it's starts and
clients, without Booster Translator, works.
2008-08-12 05:05:27 E [transport.c:74:transport_load] transport: 'option
transport-type <xxxx/_____>' missing in specification
I also want to implement Booster Translator on client side.
But I'm getting error when include booster translator on client side. After
I mount any operation on mount folder hangs. And I get following error in
client.
[transport.c:74:transport_load] transport: 'option transport-type
<xxxx/_____>' missing in specification
Following are my server & client vol files.
My server vol

My client vol

Your help is appreciated/
Rohan
