We have been facing difficulties in recent past regarding alot of anonymous requests for foreign sites in the apache logs of our server.

Eg:

27.159.248.50 - - [10/Dec/2013:20:47:37 +0530] "POST http://fdc.xchecker.net/proxy2013/http/engine7.php HTTP/1.0" 302 439 "http://fdc.xchecker.net/proxy2013/http/engine7.php" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"

Similarly there are many requests like this bombarding our server repeatedly. I checked the apache configuration but the mod_proxy module in apache is turned off but still requests like this keeps coming and keep polluting the logs. 

Any solution to this problem ?
