Hello,
      Mirroring of ftp.gnu.org is complete on our GLUG-NITH server Razorblade.
The URL of the mirror is http://gnu.glug-nith.org/
The mirror contains the entire /gnu directory of ftp.gnu.org. So if anyone
needs any GNU project softwares kindly go through the mirror once. There is 
high chance you will find what you want over there. I would suggest the list 
members here in College to once see the URL and see what all GNU programs 
available for download. Its a high chance you will use it in case you need 
anything in future.

Since right now there are no registered GNU mirrors from India, before dropping
in a line with the GNU webmasters, I wanted the opinions of the list members on
an issue. Since right now we have a flickery connection so it might be possible
that outside the College the speed from this mirror will be same as a foreign
mirror which might reflect poorly for it. So should we talk first with the 
College authorities to give us a dedicated assured connection and then inform 
the GNU webmaster or do I inform right now. Please note there are no minimum 
criteria and requirements for ftp.gnu.org mirrors.
