Well, for Fedora one would do:
# yum -y install fuse-sshfs

For Debian based systems, use Synaptic to find out the name of the package.

And can you give me more details about the function and uses of it.

If you have an account on more than one machine and do not want to ssh
to the remote box every time you want to access a file there, then you
need a way to mount the directory on the remote machine on your local
system. Usually people use NFS for this. However NFS requires the NFS
server to be running on the remote system, which often is not the
case. Usually you will only have a SSH service running on the remote
machine. In such a scenario you can use SSHFS to mount the remote
directory on your local machine, and use the files  as if they were
there on your machine only.
