Long time ago, there used to be some gnome filesystem-bla-daemon doing the FS
monitoring. There should be a modern equivalent within every desktop
environnent. Naturally gcmd would use the Gnome one. But i guess gcmd has long
since detached from that kind of stuff.
Personally i don't use any DE so i'm happy with it.
Midnight commander (huh ! Is he really going to mention midnight commander here
???) reloads the file list after each and every operation.
