Yes, it is planned, and there is a rather old bugreport about the
migration[*] but as you might imagine the migration is rather complex as
GnomeCommander is tightly bound to Gnome-VFS and nearly all internals
have to be touched for the migration. Another problem is that I have
little time for this project currently, so it will take quite long if
nobody comes to the rescue.
