It works !

As usual, here are only the bugs :) first of all, i would appreciate to test
experimental things w/o possibly screwing up my complex configuration. So, is
it possible you merge it with the latest master to have option --config-dir
available ?

Then, you said it's only a snapshot of WIP so it's probably just fact that it
does not control any of the file list panes yet ? It always says 'file not
found' when i click on any folder in the fw tree.

Then, starting up it spat some messages, i suppose none of them is your code
but anyway, here goes:

I went to the options, just to see if there's something new, and closed that
dialog again. Then i opened a folderview. I could set it to one of my drives,
but after that, i could not change to any other drive anymore. It was fixed.

Then i opened another folderview (splitting the fv widget) and just for fun,
clicked on that open button a third time, after which it crashed with

but that happened only this time, could not reproduce it later.

Closing the last fw leaving the fv widget in place, it's probably intendet to
return to the previous state (only two file list panes) finally ?

As for the GUI, i don't clearly understand yet the two drive choosers, one on
top one below. How about implementing tooltips ?

So far, i can't spend much more time yet since i'm off for christmas holidays
tomorrow and still have much organizing left. CU in new year !
