All that needs doing at the moment is to apply this and test it out,
particularly 'read-char-no-hang.
Longer term, we need testers of 2.7.0, though we have some time for
this.
May I suggest that the recipients of this message consider ourselves
the unofficial mingw support team in the absence of Mike Thomas, and
reply to the whole group if/when we find time to get any results, so
that we do not duplicate effort?
