Might there be value in sending Camm the exact nqthm-1992 executable that I
used, since the behavior seems to change when there are minor variations?

   One can build the nqthm-1992 saved gcl image used in Matt's bug report by 
getting

     ftp://ftp.cs.utexas.edu/pub/boyer/nqthm/nqthm-1992.tar.gz

   connecting to the nqthm-1992 directory that results from unzipping and
   untarring and typing

     make LISP=gcl-2.6.1

   or whatever is the right name for the gcl you want to use.

   The resulting file nqthm-1992 runs the saved image named saved_nqthm-1992, 
and
   that's what Matt was starting from.
