Greetings!  2.6.1 is the first version with amd64 support.  I'm
assuming you want a 64bit image.  You can retrive this version at our
temporary distribution site:

http://people.debian.org/~camm/gcl

Please let me know how this goes for you.  Your machine should be
automatically detected as amd64-linux, and -m64 should be added to the
CFLAGS.  If you want a 32bit image instead, you can configure with
--enable-machine=386-linux.
