[Freetype] Newbie questrion

Dear all,

I have followed the demo ftstring.c to write a sample code displaying
truetype font on my platform.
Now I have some newbie questions:

1.Driver_Display_Bitmap() in the ftstring.c, does this function display
  bitmap data of font?
  If does, does it mean that I only modify this function like showing  font
bitmap,
  one dot,one dot...?
  (now I can't display anything on my platform)
