[Freetype] Rasterizing Bitmap Fonts using Freetype

Hi there,

I'm new to the freetype scene, so I hope I can get advice from you guys.

I understand freetype provides excellent classes to rasterize truetype fonts.

What if I have a set of proprietary bitmap fonts? Does freetype help in any way 
to lighten my work?

In particular, what are the specific classes which I should look into to aid my 
work?
