[Freetype] bitmap help

i am using freetype engine to render fonts on my graphics device.
The problem is that when I extract the bitmap using the
TT_Get_Glyph_Bitmap i only get the bitmap of the outline but
i want the bitmap of the whole if the character ( not the boundary but
the
whole of it) , is there any way in this
i can get it.
