[Freetype] Question about TrueType font output.. |

Greetings Freetypers,
Please forgive this basic question, as I am new to the list.
I would like to know if FreeType enables the *output* of TrueType font
files, and if not, whether anyone could recommend an available library
which does. Specifically, I would like to provide Bezier control points to
such an API; ideally such a library would then take care of generating the
font file.
Most of the available code out there seems geared for reading in glyph
metrics and then rasterizing them. In my application however I am
algorithmically generating new letters, and would like to be able to save
them in the format of a TrueType font. (I appreciate that fonts are very
complex; for the time being I am happy to forego nearly all of the advanced
features of TrueType/FreeType.)
The nearest thing I have found is Just Van Rossum's TTX.
Thanks very sincerely for any suggestions.
