I have not yet spawned a font editor, but Pavel's basic objection (it should
be a composite with only _two_ countours still holds, AFAIK.

I assume you are talking about the version of GULIM.TTC that ships with
Windows 2000 (1st TT table's name says it is version 2.10). Which
is 12.8MB large (i.e. 13,517,000 bytes). Right?

Then, I can't find it, something has to be wrong. Character 03AE maps to
glyph #568 (in 'font' 1), #2107 (in 'font' 2), #1346 (in 'font' 3) or
#2107 (in 'font' 4), and glyph #942 really has one contour: it is mapped
from character 7D in 'font' 3, i.e. }...
