I changed the freetype-1.3 demos to build with svgalib instead of X, you
can find it at http://www.arava.co.il/matan/misc.
There is also a sort of wrapper for freetype-2 to facilitate svgalib
usage of freetype at http://www.arava.co.il/matan/svgalib/ft.tar.gz
