I doubt that I can fix it fast. I have gut feeling about the bug and that's it. 
Last time I looked I saw a cache with a hash or something for 16 level 
gradients. I think we see hash misses. Perhaps it is wrong to call that hash. I 
might be going off deep end, I am not an expert.
