Since I don't use MSYS, I can't directly help. However...

... this surprises me. I assume that for a VS project the files in
`builds/windows/vs2010' are the right ones. Note that I don't use VS
either (actually, I don't use Windows at all), only trying to update
it. Maybe I did some error, so please report the problems you have.

Uh, oh, version 2.6.3 is not yet released :-) The current one is
2.6.2, which I strongly recommend to use.
