There are some issues with DejaVu Serif (SVN version) at small sizes: U+0424 (Ð), U+0444 (Ñ) are asymmetric and U+0434 (Ð) has not right descender, look at attachment.
CVS works very well for me too. The problem with U+0434 and others only shows up at full hinting. At medium, it looks great!!! Firefox is aparently full-hinting, which screws up kerning a bit there on Fedora Core 6. This seems to be a firefox's problem. Please release 2.2.2 for Christmas. CVS is much better than 2.2.1
