No, it's not possible at the moment, and very very unlikely in the
future, you'd better write your own
cache if you really want to do that. I must say I'm a bit surprised
about your proposal, because a global
cache implemented as a shared memory object is going to get very tricky
to implement both
efficiently and correctly.
