Hmmm, no.
http://www.freetype.org/pipermail/devel/2004-September/thread.html only has
one exemplary. The copy is at
http://www.freetype.org/pipermail/devel/2004-September/010997.html, and you
will notice:
- that it is longer;
- that the beginning of the missing part is a single dot on a line.
And the problem is that this is precisely the signal of end of message for
SMTP. So I assume that in this setup of mailman+postfix, there is a misfit
(one is forgotting to embeed the dot with a second dot, as prescribed by RFC
[2]822; or the other is trying to removing it twice; or there is an
intervening tool that mess it).
Then, while sending the mail, nobody notices the 354 ack, so the furious
pair mailman+postfix think the message has not been delivered successfully,
and they try again. Perhaps after 5 days the master program will notice the
problem, and there is a chance we will ALL be marked as "unable to deliver"
:-(.
I tried to contact the administradors this morning, however unsuccessfully:
David's (past?) professional domain is now in redemption period (look at
http://whois.oleane.net/whois.html), so mail is not delivered... I tried a
couple of obvious addresses at the host, without success. Probably we should
back up on regular phone...
