Hmm, I've just had a look at verdana.ttf (from a Win98 version) with
ftview (from the current CVS), and it looks exactly as you describe it
as `good' -- see attached image. With other words, the sample code
used in ftview gives correct results.
Maybe the glyph size is not an integer value, or the positioning of
the glyphs is not optimal. I don't know.
Keith, do you have an explanation?
