Since electronic fonts are programs, isn't the LGPL good? It allows
people to use the font in other software without license
infection. And derivatives are allowed as long as they're LGPLed.
You could always hand-roll your own license based on the BSD style
license. Or you could try Knuth's license for his CM fonts.
